Si vous avez déjà rassemblé autour de vous des personnes motivées et que vous souhaitez travailler sur un projet particulier dans votre région, vous pouvez créer un groupe local. Selon les principes de notre organisation:
Les groupes doivent être formés de 3 membres ou plus qui souhaiteraient devenir actifs au sein de leur communauté locale ou d’une zone géographique plus importante; ils doivent se concentrer sur un ou plusieurs enjeux de protection et exister sur le long terme, de façon continue. Autrement, les questions de court terme seront gérées au sein du groupe principal déjà existant ou bien au niveau national si aucun groupe principal n’existe déjà.
The Credit River is a special feature of Mississauga, and what could be more symbolic of the city’s wish to enjoy and protect its valued river than to grant it Provincial Greenbelt status? But first, public awareness of this opportunity had to develop, as well as political will to break new ground by pushing through the lengthy provincial application process.
The Edmonton Group has traditionally focused on parkland creation and conservation. These are usually multi-year projects; our favorite, going on fifteen, is the Sand Dunes Natural Area (our name - bureaucratically known as NW384) in the far southwest of Edmonton.
We identified the feature in 2001, characterized its pro-glacial origins, and with the support of the Curator of Geology from our Provincial Museum, induced the City to purchase the lands the following year. The dunes lie on the easternmost extent of the 200 sq km glacio-lacustrine Devon Dune Field to the west of Edmonton.

We provide all the equipment needed. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.
Light refreshments will be available. Bring your own refillable water bottle, please.
Mines and quarries can impact the environment in a variety of ways such as water contamination, diverting water systems, air emissions, and destroying habitat for wildlife.
The way to reduce these impacts is through careful consultation, land-use planning, and - when serious impacts can't be avoided - saying "no" to certain mines and quarries.
Sierra Club Peel Group is a group of concerned citizens who volunteer their time to carry out environmental campaigns and conservation projects within the Peel Region. The group's aim is to educate and empower the residents of Peel to be defenders and responsible stewards of the natural environment. The Peel group is currently working on five project areas:

The manner in which we deal with our ''waste" is a key part of the foundation of a sustainable world. Isn't sustainability another word for balance? We must learn how to use the world's resources such as wood, rocks, metals and oil in a more balanced manner.
Sierra Club Ontario (SCO) is a collaborative partner in the Environment and Diversity Project. The SCO is committed to enhancing diversity and inclusion within the organization and in our outreach. The E&D Project is an exciting four-year collaborative initiative led by the Sustainability Network. SCO is one of the six environmental non- profit organizations partnered in this collaborative.
